Enthusiam, hard work and persistence have paid off over the years to a steady climb in tournament fishing for Dan Stier. First, being recognized as a tournament fisherman in the mid-eighties by winning or consistently placing in walleye tournaments throughout the Missouri River Reservoir System. When joining professional ranks from 1991 to present, he has been labeled one of the most consistent money finishers in the Professional Walleye Trail & FLW Professional Walleye Tour.
- 2007 - Dan was very active in the fishing industry, traveling over 40,000 miles along with 300 days
a
year on the road to promote and participate in the sport of fishing. Dan completed the full season of
PWT, MWC, Pro-Team Lowrance and FLW Tour & League events for the 2007 year. - 2008 - Dan fished the super-pro and regional circuits of the PWT, FLW touring Pro and League circuits,
and Master's Walleye Circuit (MWC). - 2009 - Dan won 1st place on Leech Lake & accomplished a long time goal of taking 1st place in the FLW Circuit.
- 2011 - Dan finished 11th at Leech Lake & 12th at Lake Oahe in the FLW circuit. He then went on to
win the FLW National Guard Championship in Bismark, ND.
